All my pieces are made from Stoneware clay and. The outside are a mix of coloured slips and glazes, and are all sealed with Liquid Quartz . This means they're waterproof and stain resistant, even though they maintain the look and feel of natural clay. 
If they don't have gold lustre, they can be considered microwave and dishwasher safe but I'd suggest hand washing to preserve their appearance for longer. 
To be quite honest they're the perfect guests...They can even be hung on the wall for display and storage!
